Key Features and Benefits

  1. Our Chicken Coops are TALLER! - Most chicken enclosures on the market top out at around 180cm high—ours with the insulated sloped roof stand tall at a full 220cm. That’s basically 40cm or an extra foot (+ a bit) for free. At over 20% taller than most standard enclosures, it’s the kind of difference you notice straight away.
  2. Built Tough for Aussie Conditions - Built tough with galvanised, double welded, powder coated steel frames, Colourbond metal as standard and galvanised Powdercoated wire mesh (as standard) compared to other products on the market that have NO Powdercoating at all. Most Chinese imported cages are just powdercoated over raw (non-galvanised metal) and they rust from the inside out. Habitat Chicken Coops are ready for harsh Aussie conditions and won't rust.
  3. Warmer in the Winter and Cooler in Summer - We use Aluminium Insulated Roof Panelling as standard (others charge you $100s extra)  Unpredictable weather, hot sun, cold rain, whatever rolls through—our Insulated Roof handles it.
  4. MODULAR so they will expand with your hobby - This modular chicken enclosure system lets you extend as needed—add panels, increase length, or scale it up as your needs grow. No ripping everything out and starting again.
  5. EASY to Set Up - And when it comes to putting it together—no dramas. It’s quicker and easier to assemble than a flat-pack garden shed because our panels ARE NOT a box of components which need to be assembled before you even start to erect the enclosure. Everything lines up, bolts together properly and before you know it, you’ve got a solid chicken coop standing there looking great......without owing old mate Tradie down the road a slab.

Built Tough for Real Aussie Backyards

The Habitat 118 x 123 x 220H Chicken Coop Enclosure is a compact setup perfect for a couple of chooks, giving them a safe and comfortable space without taking over the backyard.

Forget timber coops that warp and rot after a wet season or cheap runs that rust out early. Every Habitat panel uses double-strength galvanised steel framing with durable powdercoated and colourbond finishes built for real Aussie conditions.

The full insulated sloped roof helps keep the enclosure cooler in summer and warmer in winter, while improving water runoff during rain. Your chooks stay more comfortable year-round with better protection from the weather.

Designed to Make Chicken Keeping Easier

If it’s a hassle, it won’t get done — so this setup is designed to keep things simple. The integrated coop attachment includes a lift-up lid for easy egg collection and removable plastic tub inserts that make cleaning quick and easy.

The coop attachment also features its own insulated sloped roof, creating a more sheltered nesting area that stays cooler in summer and warmer in winter for better comfort all year round.

Solid panel sections help block wind and rain, while the enclosed coop space gives your chooks a quieter spot to roost and lay.

Expandable and Built to Grow

Starting small? No worries. This enclosure can grow with you over time. Add extra panels to extend the chicken run or build out a larger custom setup as your flock grows.

Whether you want a simple hen house or a larger chicken enclosure later on, Habitat modular systems are designed to adapt to your backyard.

Lock In a Rock-Solid Base

The Habitat Concrete Former helps give your enclosure a rock-solid foundation that stays put. Your enclosure is already built tough, but adding a concrete base gives you extra stability—especially if you’re dealing with strong winds, exposed yards or uneven ground.

It bolts together easily, your enclosure fixes straight to it, and once the concrete is poured, everything locks in nice and solid. You also get a cleaner, more practical setup, with a smooth surface that makes sweeping out mess and wash-downs far easier.

Strong, tidy and built for long-term peace of mind. Available in two sizes to suit your setup.
