Key Features and Benefits
- Our Chicken Coops are TALLER! - Most chicken enclosures on the market top out at around 180cm high—ours with the insulated sloped roof stand tall at a full 220cm. That’s basically 40cm or an extra foot (+ a bit) for free. At over 20% taller than most standard enclosures, it’s the kind of difference you notice straight away.
- Built Tough for Aussie Conditions - Built tough with galvanised, double welded, powder coated steel frames, Colourbond metal as standard and galvanised Powdercoated wire mesh (as standard) compared to other products on the market that have NO Powdercoating at all. Most Chinese imported cages are just powdercoated over raw (non-galvanised metal) and they rust from the inside out. Habitat Chicken Coops are ready for harsh Aussie conditions and won't rust.
- Warmer in the Winter and Cooler in Summer - We use Aluminium Insulated Roof Panelling as standard (others charge you $100s extra) Unpredictable weather, hot sun, cold rain, whatever rolls through—our Insulated Roof handles it.
- MODULAR so they will expand with your hobby - This modular chicken enclosure system lets you extend as needed—add panels, increase length, or scale it up as your needs grow. No ripping everything out and starting again.
- EASY to Set Up - And when it comes to putting it together—no dramas. It’s quicker and easier to assemble than a flat-pack garden shed because our panels ARE NOT a box of components which need to be assembled before you even start to erect the enclosure. Everything lines up, bolts together properly and before you know it, you’ve got a solid chicken coop standing there looking great......without owing old mate Tradie down the road a slab.

More Space for a Growing Flock
Give your chooks a secure and comfortable place to roost, nest and stay protected with the Habitat 118 x 241 x 220cmH Chicken Coop Enclosure. Designed for small to medium backyard flocks, this setup provides practical shelter without dominating your yard.
Instead of dealing with timber coops that absorb moisture, warp and rot over time, Habitat uses double-strength galvanised steel framing with a durable powder-coated and colourbond finishes built for tough Australian conditions.
The mixed roof design also gives your hens the best of both worlds. The insulated sloped roof adds shade, weather protection and improved temperature control, while the mesh roof section increases airflow and allows more natural light into the enclosure.
Practical Features That Save Time
To make everyday chicken keeping easier, Habitat includes an integrated nesting coop with a lift-up lid for quick egg collection. Rather than crawling into the enclosure for cleaning, you can simply remove the plastic tub inserts, empty the bedding and refresh the space in minutes.
The coop attachment also features its own insulated sloped roof, helping create a quieter and more sheltered nesting area throughout the year. In addition, the matching access ramp allows your chooks to move easily between the coop and the main enclosure.
Meanwhile, solid wall panels block wind and rain, while the enclosed nesting space gives your girls a calmer place to roost and lay.
Flexible Setup That Grows With You
Start with a practical backyard setup now, then expand it later as your flock grows. Add extra panels, extend the run or connect additional sections to create a larger custom enclosure over time.
Whether you keep a few hens for fresh eggs or plan to build a larger walk-in chicken setup down the track, Habitat systems adapt easily to suit your backyard and your birds.

Lock In a Rock-Solid Base
The Habitat Concrete Former helps give your enclosure a rock-solid foundation that stays put. Your enclosure is already built tough, but adding a concrete base gives you extra stability—especially if you’re dealing with strong winds, exposed yards or uneven ground.
It bolts together easily, your enclosure fixes straight to it, and once the concrete is poured, everything locks in nice and solid. You also get a cleaner, more practical setup, with a smooth surface that makes sweeping out mess and wash-downs far easier.
Strong, tidy and built for long-term peace of mind. Available in two sizes to suit your setup.
