Protecting Your Birds from Cold Winds

When positioning your aviary, it is important to consider the direction of prevailing winds in your area. We recommend placing solid wall panels on the sides most exposed to cold winds and weather to provide your birds with additional shelter and protection.

Where possible, position mesh panels and door on the more sheltered sides of the enclosure to reduce exposure to cold drafts. If prevailing winds cannot be avoided due to your backyard layout, add our pull down PVC blinds to help protect your birds from wind, rain and harsh weather conditions.
