Design Your Own

Follow these simple steps to design your own enclosure, piece by piece.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to choose the right components and create a setup that fits your space perfectly.

Start by measuring your space. Work out the width, depth and height of the area where your enclosure will go.

While you’re doing this, also take note of sun and wind direction. This will help you decide where to use solid metal panels for protection, or mesh panels for airflow.

Once you’ve got your measurements, you’re ready to start designing your enclosure.

Step 1 — Choose your wall panels

These are the main building blocks of your enclosure. All panels are the same width; you simply need to choose between solid metal or wire mesh panels based on your assessment of where you need the protection and airflow. Note - the door panel is mesh and makes up for a wall, so allow for this when choosing your combination.

Step 3 — Choose your Connectors

All enclosures need wall connectors. Square and rectangular enclosures need one right angle connector pack and enclosures larger than 1 x 1 need flat connectors to join the panels. Each wall panel is 2080mm high and the connectors are 1040mm long, so each join needs two connectors. Check each item for instructions on ordering the right number of connectors.

Step 4 — Choose your roof style

We offer a range of roof options to suit your setup, insulated sloped roof, flat mesh and peaked roof. You can mix and match on enclosures larger than 1 x 1 and also go roofless for an open top Dog enclosure.

Optional: Choose your Concrete Base Former

Want a secure, easy-to-clean flooring solution for your enclosure? Select a concrete base former that matches your chosen size. Your enclosure is screwed to the form and then filled with concrete to secure it to the ground. Although our enclosures are very heavy, installing with a concrete floor will give you extra peace of mind, especially in typically windy locations.

Add ons: Personalise with Accessories

Enhance your enclosure with optional extras like roll-down blinds, feed bowls, or a chicken coop attachment for multi-purpose use. (our chicken coop can also be installed up side down for a cat lounge).
