Key Features and Benefits
- Our Outdoor Dog Enclosures are TALLER! - Most outdoor dog enclosures on the market top out at around 180cm high—ours stand tall at 210cm. That’s basically 30cm or an extra foot for free. At over 15% taller than most standard enclosures, it’s the kind of difference you notice straight away.
- Built Tough for Aussie Conditions - Built tough with galvanised, double welded, powder coated steel frames, Colourbond metal as standard and galvanised Powdercoated wire mesh (as standard) compared to other products on the market that have NO Powdercoating at all. Most Chinese imported cages are just powdercoated over raw (non-galvanised metal) and they rust from the inside out. Habitat Outdoor Dog Enclosures are ready for harsh Aussie conditions and won't rust.
- Warmer in the Winter and Cooler in Summer - If you are looking at adding shelter, we use Aluminium Insulated Roof Panelling as standard (others charge you $100s extra) Unpredictable weather, hot sun, cold rain, whatever rolls through—our Insulated Roof handles it.
- MODULAR so they will expand with your hobby - This modular dog enclosure system lets you extend as needed—add panels, increase length, or scale it up as your needs grow. No ripping everything out and starting again.
- EASY to Set Up - And when it comes to putting it together—no dramas. It’s quicker and easier to assemble than a flat-pack garden shed because our panels ARE NOT a box of components which need to be assembled before you even start to erect the enclosure. Everything lines up, bolts together properly and before you know it, you’ve got a solid dog enclosure standing there looking great......without owing old mate Tradie down the road a slab.

Big Dog Run Without Taking Over the Backyard
If you want to give your dog a large contorlled outdoor space without filling the whole yard, this Habitat Semi Solid Panel Dog Enclosure hits the sweet spot.
At 118 x 477 x 210cm high, this extra large enclosure gives your dogs a long run area where they can actively move, stretch out and settle in comfortably throughout the day. The slimline design fits neatly along fences, side yards and boundary lines, making it a practical option for backyards where width is limited but length is available.
It works especially well for larger breeds that need more movement space, or homes with multiple smaller dogs that enjoy having room to spread out rather than being packed into a square enclosure.
Because of the extended layout, your dogs can walk the length of the run instead of just pacing in circles, helping create a more relaxed and open outdoor setup.
Shelter Where You Need It, Openness Everywhere Else
This model combines a quarter enclosed Colourbond end section with three quarters open wire mesh panels, giving you a good mix of protection and airflow.
The enclosed section creates a more sheltered area from wind, cold weather and driving rain, giving your dogs somewhere calmer to rest and settle. The larger wire mesh sections keep the enclosure feeling open and connected to the backyard instead of boxed in.
It is a layout that works well year round, especially for dogs that enjoy being outdoors but still appreciate having some cover and protection available.
Built Properly for Australian Conditions
Habitat uses fully galvanised steel framing together with galvanised wire mesh panels, all finished in durable powdercoating and Colourbond for long term outdoor durability.
Unlike many kennel systems that charge extra for galvanising and powdercoating upgrades, Habitat includes both as standard so you get a true outdoor enclosure built to handle Australian weather conditions.
If you want even more protection from the elements, you can also add an optional insulated sloped roof system. The insulated roof helps keep things cooler during summer, warmer through winter, and provides solid rain protection all year round.
You can also customise the setup with optional roll down blinds plus raised revolving or slide out food and water bowls to make feeding easier and keep the enclosure cleaner and more practical to use.
Finished in Habitat’s modern charcoal powdercoated finish, this enclosure looks more like a quality outdoor structure than a typical kennel—clean, modern and good looking enough that you will not feel the need to hide it away.
More Protection for Your Beloved PoochUpgrade your dog enclosure with our insulated sloped roof for year-round comfort and protection. The insulated, laminated aluminium roof keeps your dog cooler in summer and warmer in winter, it also features a practical sloped design for effective water runoff in wet weather. Available in 1x1 and 1x2 sizes, it is an easy upgrade that adds comfort, shelter and a cleaner finished look to your enclosure. Simply select the size you want above and add to the cart. Your price will be adjusted to include your roof selection. For more information about the roofs click here |

Lock In a Rock-Solid Base
The Habitat Concrete Former helps give your enclosure a rock-solid foundation that stays put. Your enclosure is already built tough, but adding a concrete base gives you extra stability—especially if you’re dealing with strong winds, exposed yards or uneven ground.
It bolts together easily, your enclosure fixes straight to it, and once the concrete is poured, everything locks in nice and solid. You also get a cleaner, more practical setup, with a smooth surface that makes sweeping out mess and wash-downs far easier.
Strong, tidy and built for long-term peace of mind. Available in two sizes to suit your setup.
