Protecting Your Birds from Cold Winds

When positioning your aviary, it is important to consider the direction of prevailing winds in your area. We recommend placing solid wall panels on the sides most exposed to cold winds and weather to provide your birds with additional shelter and protection.

Where possible, position mesh panels and door on the more sheltered sides of the enclosure to reduce exposure to cold drafts. If prevailing winds cannot be avoided due to your backyard layout, add our pull down PVC blinds to help protect your birds from wind, rain and harsh weather conditions.

The Right Balance

This bird aviary gives you that sweet spot between small and medium—enough room for your birds to move freely without taking over the whole backyard. It’s ideal for birds that need space to fly, perch and stay active, not just sit in a cramped cage.

With a half  sloped insulated roof and half wire roof, this aviary gives you the best of both worlds. The covered section provides shelter from sun and rain, while the mesh roof section keeps the space open, airy and bright so your birds feel comfortable year-round.
