Key Features and Benefits
- Our Chicken Coops are TALLER! - Most chicken enclosures on the market top out at around 180cm high—ours with the insulated sloped roof stand tall at a full 220cm. That’s basically 40cm or an extra foot (+ a bit) for free. At over 20% taller than most standard enclosures, it’s the kind of difference you notice straight away.
- Built Tough for Aussie Conditions - Built tough with galvanised, double welded, powder coated steel frames, Colourbond metal as standard and galvanised Powdercoated wire mesh (as standard) compared to other products on the market that have NO Powdercoating at all. Most Chinese imported cages are just powdercoated over raw (non-galvanised metal) and they rust from the inside out. Habitat Chicken Coops are ready for harsh Aussie conditions and won't rust.
- Warmer in the Winter and Cooler in Summer - We use Aluminium Insulated Roof Panelling as standard (others charge you $100s extra) Unpredictable weather, hot sun, cold rain, whatever rolls through—our Insulated Roof handles it.
- MODULAR so they will expand with your hobby - This modular chicken enclosure system lets you extend as needed—add panels, increase length, or scale it up as your needs grow. No ripping everything out and starting again.
- EASY to Set Up - And when it comes to putting it together—no dramas. It’s quicker and easier to assemble than a flat-pack garden shed because our panels ARE NOT a box of components which need to be assembled before you even start to erect the enclosure. Everything lines up, bolts together properly and before you know it, you’ve got a solid chicken coop standing there looking great......without owing old mate Tradie down the road a slab.

Roomier Setup for Growing Backyard Flocks
If you need extra space for a larger flock, the Habitat 118 x 359 x 232H Chicken Coop gives your birds more room to feed, move around and settle comfortably throughout the day.
The extended layout creates generous internal space for multiple feeders and water stations while still fitting neatly along most backyard fence lines. It’s a practical option for chicken keepers wanting a more open setup without taking over the entire yard.
Open Airflow with Sheltered Protection
This model combines a sheltered rear section with a large open mesh roof area to create a bright and well-ventilated enclosure for your birds.
At the solid wall end, the insulated sloped roof helps keep the enclosure cooler in summer and warmer in winter while also providing extra protection from rain and harsh weather. The remaining two-thirds of the enclosure features a flat mesh roof with open mesh wall sections that allow fresh airflow and natural light to move freely through the space.
Together, the insulated roof section, mesh roofing and mixed wall layout help maintain a practical balance of shelter, ventilation and visibility throughout the enclosure.
Habitat builds the entire structure using galvanised steel framing with durable powder-coated and Colorbond-style finishes designed for long-term outdoor use in Australian conditions.
Practical Features That Make Chicken Keeping Easier
The integrated coop attachment provides your chooks with a quieter and more protected nesting area while helping simplify everyday maintenance.
You can collect eggs quickly through the lift-up access hatch without entering the enclosure, while removable plastic bedding trays make cleaning faster and less messy.
The coop attachment also includes its own insulated roof section to help create a more comfortable nesting environment year-round. In addition, the matching access ramp allows your birds to move easily between the coop and the enclosure floor.
Designed to Adapt Over Time
Whether you’re starting with a medium flock or planning to expand later, this enclosure gives you flexibility as your setup grows.
Extend the layout, add extra sections or customise the enclosure over time to better suit your birds and your backyard space.
With its clean lines, practical design and durable finishes, this enclosure looks right at home in a modern Australian backyard.

Lock In a Rock-Solid Base
The Habitat Concrete Former helps give your enclosure a rock-solid foundation that stays put. Your enclosure is already built tough, but adding a concrete base gives you extra stability—especially if you’re dealing with strong winds, exposed yards or uneven ground.
It bolts together easily, your enclosure fixes straight to it, and once the concrete is poured, everything locks in nice and solid. You also get a cleaner, more practical setup, with a smooth surface that makes sweeping out mess and wash-downs far easier.
Strong, tidy and built for long-term peace of mind. Available in two sizes to suit your setup.
